Meets weekly, Thursday 10:00am - 1:00pm In Porthleven Public Hall, Wellington Road, Porthleven. We welcome locals, visitors and holiday makers. We are a friendly group of like minded people who like to promote art, encourage experimentation and development of personal styles. We like to exchange ideas and share information.

Very popular locally. Rare Cornish Choughs have been spotted near the coastal path around Beacon Crag, just outside the village. The freshwater lake, Loe Bar, is also a very popular site.

A popular bowls club exists in the village.

Porthleven has its own cricket club. This picture is of a cricket match (not Porthleven)

Beach fishing is popular. Also fishing trips by boat from Porthleven harbour.

The football ground is located Gala Park in Mill Lane. There is also a clubhouse which offers food and drink and social events.

This event is held each year, the next one will be Sunday 6th August 2006. The last Porthleven Lifeboat Day was held on Sunday 31st July 2005. A great day out, with lots of events. £7,500+ was raised for the RNLI.

The impressive skateboarding ramps in Porthleven Park were installed in January 2006. On 18th February a skateboarding event was held which attracted enthusiasts from other towns and villages.

Surfing/Body Boarding in Porthleven is popular but is difficult and for experts only. There are lots of other surfing beaches nearby.

Great costal path walks in both directions. Pictured here, from Loe Bar to Porthleven. Also Penrose Estate. The area caters for all ability levels.
