Discover Porthleven

Discover why Porthleven in West Cornwall is becoming so popular. With a harbour at its centre, it appeals to holidaymakers of all ages, from those seeking somewhere interesting and relaxing to stay, with spectacular coastal views and walks, to families with children who enjoy beach holidays.

Unspoilt Harbour Village
Porthleven is still very much a working village, where fishing is an important part of local life, and where various artists and craftspeople have chosen to work, inspired by the scenery and the special Cornish way of life.
There is an excellent selection of pubs, restaurants and shops, and holidaymakers love to visit the various craft workshops and galleries.
Great Local Scenery
The coastal path runs either side of the village and has breathtaking views of the rugged coastline and long beach.
In one direction the cliff path leads to Loe Pool (Cornwall's largest freshwater lake). The Penrose Estate (run by the National Trust) with its beautiful wooded walks is nearby. In the other direction is Rinsey and the golden beaches of Praa Sands.
